While we are eagerly waiting for the start of the 19th European Short Course Swimming Championships, we cannot forget the other highly important reasons why swimming is regarded a life-saving activity.
In Copenhagen we will watch the best of those who are masters of swimming. Still, LEN, as the head of European Aquatics, is responsible for those whose swimming skills are less developed or who simply cannot swim.
We are pleased to announce that LEN officially launches its new project ‘Getting Europe Swimming Safely’ on Wednesday, at 13.00 in the Royal Arena, Copenhagen.
We warmly welcome everybody in the Royal Square (in the arena, next to the entrance V2) and the reception held afterwards. Speakers – among others – of the launching event are:
- Paolo Barelli, LEN President
- Pia Holmen, LEN Bureau Member, CEO of the LOC
- Detlev Mohr, ILS Europe President
- John Glenn, Swim England
- Lotte Friis, Olympic Medallist Swimmer from Denmark
