SWIMMING – MEN’S 400M im, flash quotes and clip

David Verraszto, winner of Men’s 400m Medley… by lentv

Gold medal

David Verraszto, Hungary, 4:13.15

“With the early start for the afternoon sessions we didn’t have enough time for recovery which is important in the 400m IM. Add that I fractured my ribs in April, so I guess I have to be satisfied with this time. I retained my title, so the job is done and I’ll take care myself until Rio.”

Silver medal

Richard Nagy, Slovakia, 4:14.16

“I made the qualification for the Olympics and that’s great for me. As I did it in the prelims, I managed to better my personal best once more and I want to work even more since this time wouldn’t send me to the final in Rio.”

Bronze medal

Federico Turrini, Italy, 4:14.74

“I wasn’t in a good shape because I’ve already been qualified for the Olympics at our trials. It’s the second time in a row that I won the bronze medal in this event.”
