A little over 400 days before the start of the event, the 33rd LEN European Water Polo Championships Barcelona 2018 are ready to present their second progress report to the delegates of all the European federations tomorrow in Marseille (France). Their first international presentation took place last year at the International Swimming League (LEN)’s congress in Vienna.

The organizing committee’s main asset will be a video featuring the renowned Spanish water polo player Clara Espar, who will walk the audience through the key points of the event.

On the occasion of the 2017 LEN Congress in Marseille, the main representatives of Barcelona 2018 will have a few minutes to present in front of the attendees their latest progress. Fernando Carpena, President of the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation and of the Organizing Committee, and Enric Bertrán, President of the Catalan Swimming Federation and Vice-President of the Organizing Committee, will travel to Marseille today with Eugeni Ballarín, Executive Manager of the championships.

The video chosen by Barcelona 2018 emphasizes the main progress made to date. The official website of the championships (
www.wp2018bcn.com) was created half a year ago and the first promotional campaign, “Don’t Stop It”, was launched a few weeks ago.

In the presentation, Espar will explain the main details of the event, especially those relevant to the congress attendees: accommodation, distance, training and competition pools, schedules, etc.

The congress will be held on Saturday at the Palais du Pharo, one of Marseille’s major tourist attractions.
