Evgenii Kuznetsov, Russia, Gold, 427.71 points:

“We can be satisfied with our performance. As we expected, the Ukrainians were really tough opponents today. We have noticed only in the very last moment that we are less than one point ahead in the final account. We made not many but had some mistakes today. As the World Championships are coming up with some difficult competitions, we have to continue working on our dives.”

Illya Kvasha, Ukraine, Silver, 426.96 points:

“After finishing the competition with just one point behind the Russians, we are a little bit disappointed with the second place. Our third dive was not quite successful, but you have to consider that it was only our first competition together. The Russians were very strong today.”

Frederick Woodward, Great Britain, Bronze, 395.61 points:

“We are a little bit surprised by this medal. It was a really strong competition with altogether twelve teams. We rarely had such a big number within the past years. Before the last dive we knew that a medal for us could be possible. My partner James Heatly risked a look on the scoreboard and we noticed this could be a chance for third place. And finally it worked out with the last dive.”
