The continent’s brightest emerging stars will this week gather in the Serbian capital Belgrade for six days of racing at the LEN European Junior Swimming Championships.

The event runs from 4-9 July, with heats, semi-finals and finals taking place at ‘Sport Centre 25. Maj – Milan Gale Muskatirovic’.

Last year’s edition – Otopeni 2022 in Romania – saw the likes of David Popovici, Ksawery Masiuk, Merve Tuncel and Eneli Jefimova each claim three individual titles.

Tuncel of Turkey and Estonian history-maker Jefimova will be among those returning for this year’s event.

Jefimova will again be one-to-watch at EJ2023 – LEN / Simone Castrovillari

Lana Pudar is another swimmer who claimed gold in Romania last year before following that up with her maiden European senior title – in the 200m butterfly – at Roma 2022.

“It is our hope that all the teams shall bring back good memories and results from the championships and we hope that everyone will enjoy their stay in our capital,” Boris Drobac, President of Serbian Swimming Federation, said.

“We therefore look forward to once again demonstrating Serbia`s unparalleled potential to meet your needs and to show our passion about sport.”
