Integrity

The European Aquatics Integrity Code was approved by the Congress at its recent meeting in Funchal, Portugal, in September 2023. The introduction of the Integrity Code which includes the creation of the Integrity Unit is a new chapter in European Aquatics, helping the organisation to achieve the highest standards in transparency, good governance and fairness. This code is aligned with the Integrity Code of World Aquatics.

The Integrity Unit is comprised of an Integrity Council, Investigation Unit and an Adjudicatory Body.

This Integrity Code had been included in the newly approved Constitution, and so changes to the Integrity Code will need Congress approval.

The new Integrity Code will come into force following the election of the Integrity Unit on 27 January 2024 at the European Aquatics Congress in Athens.
