LEN reveals new Euro Cup Women branding, signifying another step forward for European women’s water polo

LEN – European Aquatics confirms the launch of the LEN Euro Cup Women, with the inaugural season set for 2023.

The introduction of the LEN Euro Cup follows the launch of the LEN Champions League Women earlier this season, as LEN continues to develop new opportunities in women’s water polo.

The LEN Euro Cup Women replaces the LEN Trophy as the newest second-tier club competition for European Aquatics.

LEN President, Antonio Silva said: “The introduction of the LEN Euro Cup Women signifies another step forward for Women’s Water Polo in Europe, following the launch of the LEN Champions League Women. With the popularity of Water Polo growing, it presents more opportunities to develop the sport in an inclusive and progressive manner.”

For the new season, the clubs ranked 1st and 2nd in each group shall qualify for the LEN Euro Cup Women’s Quarter finals.
The clubs ranked 3rd and 4th in each group will finish the participation in LEN Cups for Club Teams in season 2022/2023.
