Tourcoing to meet Savona in highlighted QF

Hours after the conclusion of the thrilling eight-finals, the draw for the men’s Euro Cup quarters have been conducted in Nyon, at the LEN headquarters.

The highlighted match is definitely the clash of France’s new emerging side Tourcoing and Italy’s Savona. The French did a fine job while eliminating Primorac (MNE), while Savona needed a last-second goal to avoid the penalty shootout in Ortigia.

Trieste, the other Italian team and the only side which advanced with a double win from the previous round, against Noisy (FRA), is to clash with Szolnok – the Hungarians knocked out their fellows Honved at the end of a tremendous fight.

Hungary has another team in the best eight, Vasas, which face another Serbian team VK Sabac. The Magyars survived some scary moments in Belgrade, despite winning the first leg by five against Crvena Zvezda, and will return to Serbia – Sabac downed CN Barcelona convincingly to reach this stage.

Panionios stormed to a big win against Partizan (SRB), next is Oradea, which won the Romanian derby against Steaua, thanks to a similar four-goal victory what the Greeks recorded in the second leg.
